Vehicle Speed Assessment
When determining who is at fault in a collision, the speed of the vehicles involved often needs to be assessed. For example, one driver making a left turn across the path of, and colliding with, an oncoming vehicle might say that he had seen the vehicle, which had the right of way, but thought he had enough time to complete his turn. How fast was the through vehicle going before the collision? If its driver had been travelling at the speed limit, would there have been a collision?
Our team will review the physical evidence and apply scientific principles to objectively determine the impact and pre-impact speeds of the vehicles. By understanding how a collision occurred, liability can be more easily divided between the involved parties.
